Water Conservation

It is the purpose of the VOMWD to cost-effectively improve the reliability of the district’s water supply by maximizing conservation efforts so that this precious resource may be available to consumers now and for generations to come.
Water is a limited natural resource throughout California. It's important to use it efficiently all the time, not just during dry periods. We also save money by using water efficiently because it reduces our demand for costly new water supply sources. In addition, we improve our water supply reliability during low-rainfall years.
The district encourages our customers to install water-saving devices to achieve water efficiency without negatively affecting lifestyles. Ways to help save water at your home or business range from installation of water-efficient toilets, faucets and showerheads to automated irrigation systems and water-wise landscaping.
