Lead & Copper Testing

VOMWD performed the triannual State required Lead and Copper water quality tests in July of 2017.  The samples were taken at taps within homes to represent levels of Lead and Copper in homes most likely to have positive readings.  This is based on the age of homes and construction materials used at that time.

VOMWD is proud to report that we have no lead service lines and that our 90th percentile reporting results for both Lead and Copper are well below the EPA Action Level.

EPA defined Action Level for Copper: 1.3 mg/L
VOMWD 90th percentile results: 0.300 mg/L

EPA defined Action Level for Lead: 0.015 mg/L
VOMWD 90th percentile results: 0.0057 mg/L
